Take Control of Your Healthcare
Role: Director of Product Design, UX
Oration is an employee benefit that helps people take control of their healthcare choices. OrationRx is a compelling prescription management tool that sets itself apart from the competition. It uses information from a person's unique healthcare plan to give smart, intuitive prescription management tools. OrationRx lets users choose where to fill their prescriptions by price and location.
After coming on board, one of the first things I did was run a series of usability labs, user interviews with real members, and created user flows to understand how people used the current product, and the scenarios for future usage.

Process flows helped us understand the big picture.
I ran multiple design sprints and workshops for various features that we identified. These were a bit different than those I've done before, because they had to be adapated more significantly from the model, but were very rewarding and helped us start to solve some problems and make some discoveries.

OrationRx is a complete prescription management tool. With it, users can view and fill any prescription they're taking, choose a pharmacy based on price and location catered to their unique healthcare plan, and even fill a prescription right through the application itself. This last feature is unprecedented in the space, beginning the OrationRx experience at doctor's office and giving the user the power to make informed descisions on where to fill their script.
OrationRx is now in the hands of our users and its time to learn from our them and start testing our assumptions. Over time, this will help the product mature and evolve to be more intuitive, efficient, and delightful.
